The Journey of Arnel Pineda

I had a conversation with my mom like months ago about Arnel Pineda making big in Hollywood. But I didn't really paid much attention to what she's telling me. Sabi nya si Arnel Pineda sikat na sikat na kinuha ng banda dyan sa US. Sabi ko sino naman yun? anong banda naman yun? my mom didn't remember the name of the band.

Then yesterday I stumble to Journey videos one of my favorite song kasi is Don't stop believing I was so shocked when I found out that he's the front man of Journey. OMG I was so speechless one of my favorite 80's band is Journey well im not alone isa sa mga die-hard fans are my husband and my FIL naku pag nasa kotse kami laging Journey songs ang tugtog.

Arnel Pineda really sound like Steve Perry, no doubt he got the gig. Sya pala sinasabi ni mama ko lagi. I learned his life story I watched the Journey interview of CBS in yt, how he was chosen to be the front man of Journey and then I read somewhere that one of the US consul in the Philippines didn't believed that he's trying out for Journey but another consul heard their conversation and incidentally he went to Bagaberde and saw him performed tumatak yung boses ni AP he took over tapos pinakanta nya si AP sa embassy saka nya naalala na sya yung napanood nya sa Bagaberde. Edi approved agad ang visa ni bro AP.

His story is very inspirational I got misty eyes after hearing him sharing his story the song Don't stop believing really fits to him. I saw his/Journey performance in Ellen De Generes in yt he really gave me a goosebumps. It's so amazing how the Lord works in his life. How he got this blessings.

Lessons learned let's not stop believing in reaching our dreams! keep on dreaming. One day the Lord will grant our wish.

Check out Journey's videos in YOUTUBE & scheduled of concerts in your area.
And support Journey's album they re-recorded their greatest hits plus new songs.

Summer is here

I'm here again! I just want to share the summer photos of my son. We bought him a pool for him to soak and learn how to swim. He loves taking a plunge in the bathtub he even know how to undress himself and turn on the faucet in the tub. I feel bad coz he really can't stretch out his body in the tub so we got him a pool coz I want him to enjoy the summer.

He got a little kiss from the sun even I rub a thick layer of sunscreen to his skin.

~~~
He also turned 21 months, he's sillier than ever, he's a "copycat" everything he hear he repeats it. He loves practicing his facial expression that he learned from Max (Max's and Ruby show).
I was surprised when he was playing his little keyboard. He sung something like "do!-do!" & a made up melody singer in the making LOL pati Spongebob makita lang mukha nung sailor kakanta na sya ng "oooo". One of the unforgettable scene & funniest moment I remember that he did lately was when we were eating at Boston Market he saw this boy put down his plate on the table and Caleb yap with "oh no" & started blowing. I followed the angle where he's looking, he was staring at the boy's food, he saw the thick steam rising from the food.
That's all for now!
Dyesebel
First pilot episode ng Dyesebel sobrang ganda na! Ang ganda ng pagkakaremake ang ganda ng Coron Palawan sana someday makarating din ako sa Palawan. Ang galing ni Jean Garcia d sya kontrabida dito mom sya ni Dyesebel. Muntik lang akong maiyak dahil sa nakita kong episode for tomorrow I can feel her pain as a mom. She needs to give up Dyesebel dahil nga sa story salot daw ang mga mermaid. Nabasa ko na nag brown out daw sa Pinas wow isabotage ba ng Lopez ang first day ng Dyesebel. Good luck sa casts ng Dyesebel Direk Joyce sobrang galing mo talaga na direktor! Sa mga d pa nakakapanood youre missing a lot! galing talaga ni Mars Ravelo panalong panalo ang classic fantasy novel nya.
Nursing school
I haven't updated my blog lately (obvious naman d b) and I'm sorry if I haven't visited your blog. I know some of you can relate to me; sometimes I'm not in the mood to write or update my blog.
I haven't share the story about my trip to Sea World can't wait (tagal na nun).
Finally I already got the result of my Toefl (thank you Lord I passed the test). Now I'm ready to go to school not this fall though. I aiming to get in to UTA by Spring of '09. I'm excited at the same time nervous (especially it will be tougher coz of my new status in life *mommy & wifey*), if I can make my own choice I rather study nursing in the Philippines I don't have to worry about student loans coz (my mom is willing to send me to nursing school) and I don't have to think who will keep an eye on Caleb while I'm in school. But Abe don't agree on it, he don't want to be separated with us for three years. He said he'll miss seeing Caleb growing up and of course he'll miss us terribly.
I went to TCU about two weeks ago they have a seminar for those people who have a bachelors degree interested to be a nurse.It's a 15 month program of BSN nursing *crash course*. When I heard how much the tuition fee will gonna cost dang! it's so expensive ($47,600) books and uniforms are not yet included. This school is really for the rich.
I also visited UTA which is closer to where I lived. I'm hoping UTA will accept me, I need to take some pre-requisites prior to get accepted in the Nursing program. I already met the Dean by accident while we were waiting for the elevator the lady came up to us and made a joke about Caleb. I thought she's just a regular employee (coz everybody in the nursing dept. were so nice). She's joking and smiling & playing with Caleb.
When she introduced herself that she's the dean. I was speechless. I dunno what to say when she asked me if Im applying for nursing? I just said "yes" (kahit d pa nakakapag umpisa) and when she say bye bye I just say bye bye & nice meeting you I should have said more, she asked me if I have any questions. but I can't come up with any question. I was so speechless.
Abraham was teasing me why I got a stone face I should made a conversation with her. I told him that I wasn't expecting meeting a dean. And I already hear what I need to hear from the admission's office.
~~~Btw~~~

About three weeks ago my son already peed in his potty seat by himself since he loves taking off his diaper I decided to leave the toilet training seat in our room, it happened so fast I didn't even see him doing it. I was so proud of him. After that success d na nasundan hehehe. He makes accident here & there. When I sit him in the toilet he hold his pee in, it seems like he's not confident doing it. But when I put him down that's when he make a little sprinkle on the floor. I'm not rushing coz his pd told me that it's better to potty trained him by the age of two. If he wants to play I let him, naku he loves wasting water sabi nya "fash" daw Im happy that he already overcome his fear from the sound of the flushing toilet. Kaso I'm trying to conserve water dahil sa Global warming. Everytime he gets inside the bathroom he'll flush the toilet.

And he can turn on the computer by himself, pasaway talaga the other day I was in the kitchen I leave him in our room when I checked on him I noticed the computer was on all smile pa sya proud sa ginawa nya naku pano naman ako makapag conserve ng energy global warming ulit. Buti na lang he didnt break the disk tray naka open din yun kundi lagot ako sa ama nya. Eto lang ang latest sa kin.

Trip to San Antonio

We just got back from our short vacation in San Antonio yearly we tried to go and visit my husband's home town. We're also planning to move down there in God's perfect time. We just love that city can't get enough of it.

We left Friday due to "Spring break" it took us 6 hours to get to San Antonio theres so much accident and traffic on the road we didn't expect it'll be a long drive. Well if theres no traffic driving down to San Antonio won't be that long from my place usually it's 3 1/2 hours drive.

I told Abe that next time if he plan a trip avoid traveling during Spring breaks or any kind of holidays.

Caleb got sick too he vomited many times so made a few stop to change his clothes that also eat our time on the road. He's such a good son he never cried or fuss on our long journey to San Antonio. He was just napping or looking at the road.

We stayed at Drury Plaza Hotel it's located in downtown San Antonio they offered free breakfast (which we didn't enjoy during our 4 day stay) and free used of the internet. We didn't get the chance to check out the pool *sayang* I want Caleb to enjoy a dip in the pool *sayang talaga*. I was still exhausted imagine the long drive the we went through so I just lay around in the room this is the first time that I didn't enjoy the river walk.
We went down to see the river walk it was pack with Spring breakers. Too scary to walk along the river walk sik-sikan talaga if somebody accidentally bump into you naku mahulog ka talaga sa man-made river edi basang-basa ang beauty mo nun. Plus Caleb's stroller is big and theres a lot of stairs to go through.

After I ate my dinner Caleb and I went back to our hotel room while Abe hang out with his friends. I tried to get my some sleep naku namahay pa ko I was up till 4 am ata can't get my sleep.
Then Saturday came we planned to go to Sea World but we hold it off we decided to go Monday instead coz it's weekend there might be a lot of people. We just went to Ingram mall to have our lunch then Abe and I felt sleepy so we decided to go back to our room. Pag dating naman sa room Caleb wasn't ready to take his nap. We didn't get the chance to nap when were ready to go out to have our dinner in Salt Grass Caleb was sleeping we waited till he wakes up. On our way to Salt Grass we got lost pa. Another day came didn't do much Caleb and I hang out in our room I rather stayed in the hotel than walk around the River walk with a huge stroller in tow.

Easter Sunday came Vanessa and I met up I was late for our appointment (sorry talaga Ate Van) I really got my sleep I didn't know it's almost 12 noon I thought it's still 10 in the morning. We went first to the Filipino resto and had our lunch there, then we went to the mall ayun we forgot that it's Easter Sunday the mall was closed. So we just went to her place. The kids really enjoyed their bonding time so as the mommy. Grabe ang tangkad ni Matthew konti lang tinangkad ni Caleb. At ang lakas kumain while Caleb ayun super pihikan. I'll post the video later of the boys.

to be continued Sea World experience...

Country Crock

My husband's family is very particular with food they are very picky especially my mom-in-law naku she never likes eating in a buffet restaurant she's afraid to get sick she assume not everybody wash their hands when they touch the spoon.

Recently Abe (just like his mom na super picky) bought Country Crock mashed potatoes were not a big fan of microwaveable food I don't know what came to his mind why he bought a microwaveable food. But we're all surprised especially the finicky eater in the house because it taste so good better than home-made mashed potatoes and the price is not expensive either very affordable a bowl of Country Crock can feed 5 1/2 people.

We tried all the flavors that Country Crock offers they all taste so good.

If you don't have time to cook something for dinner I highly recommend Country Crock your family will surely love it.

Caleb showing independence

This morning I thought Caleb won't eat his breakfast that I made for him. I served him egg and grapes. I put him in his high chair he started crying and screaming "no-no-no" and tears came flowing down his cheeks. I got a little frustrated coz he don't want to eat I was thinking well if you get hungry you'll eat whether you like it or not. I walked off I started making my breakfast.
His nana came in to the rescue, she sat him on his grandpa's chair that's where he wanted to sit.

When he was in the good mood I put him back in his high chair. He's asking for "wawa" (water) so I gave him his cup without the lid Im a little skeptical coz he might spill the water all over himself when I hand over him the cup he was so delighted. I told him to be careful not to spill the water, he was beaming with pride he loves pretending that he's a big kid or pretending to be like us. He kept drinking and placing the cup on the table and drink again my MIL and I just watching what he does. And then I gave him his milk.
I was really happy that he didn't spill or drop his cup. He really did an awesome job, another milestone at 18 months.
video

Showing some love:
The other night I was seating on the floor and eating my ice-cream Caleb approached me but he accidentally trip himself and bumped to my forehead I said "ouch" I was afraid that he will cry but rather he brush my forehead with his hand & look worried for me he's so sweet. I asked him to give me a kiss and he kiss me on my lips.

~~Finally~~

After I posted this entry I saw my Caleb finally put on his pants correctly. I hope he won't make any mistake when he do it again.

Update my new harajuku hairstyle

I'm back to blogging well only for today hahaha. Coz lately Im not in the mood to write anything. This morning Caleb and I went for his 18 month check-up. Im not surprised when Dr. M told me that he slow down on his weight. Caleb is very picky eater I dunno what else I can do for him. For his height he's on the right track.

Milestones: Showing independence
Can put on his socks by himself
Trying to dress up by himself
Understand instructions
Points body parts when being asked
He understand more words but can't say it
Ask something by pointing his finger or grabbing my hands
He loves repeating words when Dora says back pack he'll say backpack
Express his frustration with worse temper tantrums (I sometimes give him a pat in his butt)

~~~ I celebrated my 27th birthday (give thanks to God) those who remember and greet me that day thank you so much~~~
Next week Abe and I are going to San Antonio for my post birth day treat we didn't do much on my birth day coz were saving for our trip in San Antonio.
I also reinvented my look I never had this kind of hairstyle before. When I showed the photo to Tabatha she told me it's a bold look to try on. Am I making a bold statement? naahh Im such a die-hard fan of anime and I just love some harajuku hairstyle and this is one of them.
I'm happy coz Abe love the result. This hairstyle requires a visit in the salon more often to maintain the length of my bangs coz papi likes it ok lng kahit magpabalik-balik ako sa salon.
Weekend trip to Fort Worth & Dallas
Darl and I once again had a blast last Saturday our first destination was Fort Worth Botanical garden. We went there to see the Japanese garden, the entrance fee for weekend will cost you $3.50 for week days it's $3.
The weather was really nice and sunny I sweat a little bit but it's better than a chilly and windy weather. If you're from TX you'll know by now that TX weather is sporadic we're lucky that day coz the weather was really friendly to us.
Our second destination the "Filipino Resto in Bedford" we look like PG (patay gutom) we're not starving but the food looks so enticing and salivating, we can't wait to dig in to kare-kare, Daing na bangus, adobo mix and crispy pata and to top it off braso de mercedes.
We're really full imagined we finished two big bowl of rice. What we had for lunch that day even lasted us till dinner time we didn't get hungry when we arrived at the mall.
On our way to Dallas video
After our lunch we went to Galleria mall, we got lost on our way there we reached the heart of Dallas we missed our exit going to Galleria the road sign is confusing and you won't notice the lane your on will split and will definitely miss your exit that's what happened to us.
We don't have a map or directions on how to get there we just depend on Joe's instruction Darl always bug her husband on the phone while he's working hahaha. Unfortunately while we were looking for Galleria, Caleb vomited and his shirt got all dirty so we need to make a stop and change his outfit.
When were close to the mall Caleb vomited for a second time now I don't have any extra shirt for him so I put on his hoody thank God we're close to the mall already.
Darl and I can't wait to use the restroom too we really need to take a pee it's a little long drive especially we got lost and were holding our pee for a long time. The only restroom that we know of was in Gap. After we used the restroom, I browse for a new pair of clothes for Caleb.
Another food trip:
We saw this confectionery store I bought some truffles I forgot what Bes bought but it all taste so good. We munched on with our super yummy treat while strolling in the mall we saw Godiva shop we never had a second thought we went inside the shop right away the guy offered us a free taste of raspberry shake, we all love it so I decided to bought shake for me and bes and then bes bought me a bar of Godiva in-exchange of shake daw.
Our Saturday trip was really fun can't wait for our next trip again. San naman kaya? this time I'm celebrating my 27th birth day I just feel old thinking about it! Thank you Lord for every thing.
Another baby for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
Do you see Ange's baby bump? wow she's pregnant again I don't know how this couple manage to spend time with their growing family. Congratulations to the couple! I wish they also get married if they really love each other, not just keep bringing kids without the sanctity of the church.
